The success story of a crane system for a satisfied customer
At Mitari, we always strive to provide the best lifting solutions that perfectly suit our customers' needs. Recently, we received an order from a customer who had expanded their workshop and asked us to provide them with various lifting solutions. Here, we share the story of how we helped this customer set up their workshop efficiently and safely.
About the customer
The company specialises in custom-made seals for commercial refrigeration equipment, such as refrigerators, freezers and other specialised cooling systems. These seals are manufactured in their workshop, therefore it is important that the workshops can be utilised to their full potential.
The challenge
Our customer's workshop expansion meant that not all workshops could use the lifting equipment anymore. After the customer contacted us, it was our job to ensure that they could again safely use their lifting equipment at all workshops.
From first contact to delivery
After the initial contact, two of our colleagues went to the site to discuss the situation and make sure there were no ambiguities. We drew up an accurate quotation and, once approved, the process could really start.
The preparations
First, the right materials were ordered and the planning completed, both for our own staff (inside and outside) and for the customer, so that everyone knew what to expect.
The work carried out
We carried out the following work:
- Extending an existing suspension track system from Erikkila.
- Supply and assembly of a new overhead conveyor system from Erikkila.
- Supply of several Mitari MVK hoists and lifting magnets.
- Dismantling a column slewing crane at one location and reassembling it at another.
A total of five of our colleagues worked on this project: two in the inside service and three in the field service, with about 10 hours for the inside service and 48 hours for the field service.
Aftercare and advice
To complete the project, we contacted the customer after installation to verify that everything had gone according to plan. We also gave advice on other issues our fitters had observed. After all, safety comes first at Mitari.
Conclusion
This project demonstrates Mitari's commitment to providing customised lifting solutions that meet our customers' specific requirements. By working closely with the customer and applying our expertise, we were able to deliver a safe and efficient this project. We are proud of the result and look forward to future projects where we can once again make a difference.
